Use These Simple Tricks to Fix Blurry Screen on Windows 11
Sometimes, your computer display may start to look blurry, which can be due to multiple reasons. No one likes a blurry screen, whether you are a student or a professional. This issue can ruin the entire computer experience, especially for people whose computer is a complete entertainment system. In this tutorial, I will show you how to fix blurry screen on Windows 11 computers.
Fix Blurry Screen on Windows 11
There is a possibility that you are experiencing this issue in some apps or some menus only. Maybe your drivers are out of date, or screen settings somehow changed. Whatever the case, the problem can be resolved. Here are a few tips and tricks that you can try to fix a blurry screen.
Screen Resolution
An incorrect resolution or Scale can cause your screen to appear blurry. There is a possibility that a corrupt driver, game settings, etc., caused the system resolution settings to change. You can fix this by doing the following:
- Press the Win + I keys to open the Settings app.
- Click on Display in the right pane.
- Select the Recommended option in the drop-down menu next to Scale. This option varies according to your system.
- Next, select the Recommended option in the drop-down menu next to Display resolution.
- Select Keep Changes.
- Restart your computer.
ClearType Text
You can use the ClearType Text Tuner and make the text appear sharper on Windows 11. Just follow the steps below:
Step-1: Click on the search icon, type Adjust ClearType text, and select Open.
Step-2: Check the Turn on ClearType box and select Next.
Step-3: When you see the following screen, select Next:
Step-4: Select the option that appears best to you and then click on Next.
Step-5: Do step-4 for the next four more screens.
Step-6: Once you are done, select Finish.
Graphics Preference
Each app has its own graphics settings. If you find that an app has blurred visuals, you can modify the settings to suit your needs.
- Open the Settings app using shortcut keys Win + I.
- Select the Display option.
- Scroll down and in the Related settings section, select Graphics.
- Select the app that is blurred from the list. Click on Options.
- Select High Performance and then click Save.
- Restart your system.
Bonus: If you can’t find the problematic app in the list, scroll to the top, and under the Custom options for apps, you will see an Add an app drop-down menu. Select the Microsoft Store app, and your preferred app will hopefully be added to the list.
Fix Blurry Screen Using DPI Settings
Step-1: Click on the search icon and type the app’s name, causing problems.
Step-2: Right-click on the name of the app and select Open file location.
Step-3: When the app opens in explorer, right-click on it and select Properties.
Step-4: Click on the Compatibility tab.
Step-5: Select Change high DPI settings.
Step-6: Check the boxes for ‘Use this setting to fix scaling problems for this program instead of the one in Settings’ and ‘Override high DPI scaling behavior.’
Step-7: Ensure that the drop-down menu under Scaling performed by: is set to Application.
Step-8: Select Apply and then select OK.
Step-9: Restart the program to see if the issue gets fixed.
Fix Blurry Screen Using Performance Settings
- Click on the search icon and type view advanced system settings. Select Open.
- Under Performance, click on Settings.
- Select Adjust for the best appearance option. Select Apply.
Drivers
There is a possibility that your display drivers aren’t updated. You can fix this issue manually using the device manager.
Step-1: Press the shortcut keys Win + X to open the WinX Menu.
Step-2: Select Device Manager.
Step-3: Click on Display adapters to expand the option.
Step-4: Right-click on the display driver and select Update Driver.
Step-5: Follow the on-screen prompts to finish updating the driver.
